Jetty’s 2020 Year in Review

To say that 2020 was a difficult year would be an understatement. Many of us have faced serious challenges both personally and professionally, and continue to deal with the repercussions of a global pandemic. 

In the midst of all of this, we’re proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish at Jetty. The year was not without its challenges for us as a company, but our team has worked tirelessly to serve our Members and Partners. In 2020, here’s what we did…

With our products

    Launched a new version of Jetty DepositOur updated product gives renters the flexibility of monthly payments, and helps Partners get even more protection for their properties.

    Introduced Unlock Deposit. With this new offering, renters can free up their deposits and gain access to cash that would otherwise be tied up until move-out.

    With our partners

      Secured a partnership with Farmers InsuranceFarmers Insurance is now the exclusive reinsurance provider for all new policies written under Jetty Deposit and Jetty Renters Insurance, which will help us quickly deliver even more value to our Partners.

      Expanded our list of nationwide real estate partners. We continued to expand our distribution network with some of the company’s largest ownership groups and management companies, and now have close to 2 million partnership units.

      For our team

        Created new ERGs. Internally, we created two new ERGs, or employee resource groups, to support our BIPOC and LGBTQ+ team members and make Jetty an even better place to work. 

        Completed company-wide inclusivity training. Like many organizations, we took some time in 2020 to examine and improve our company culture. Though we see this as an ongoing process, we’re proud to share that the entire team completed inclusivity training designed to help us recognize unconscious bias and create a more inclusive workplace.

        We’re incredibly proud of our team for each of these accomplishments and more, especially given that all of them occurred as we transitioned to a fully remote organization for the first time. On the heels of all of this, we feel well-equipped as a company to take on whatever comes our way in 2021.

        And, of course, we couldn’t do any of this without our Partners’ trust in what we do, or their willingness to introduce renters across the country to Jetty. In our mission to make renting more affordable for everyone, they’re an essential piece of the puzzle—and we couldn’t be more grateful for their ongoing support.
