Celebrating Pride Month at Jetty

As Pride Month comes to a close, we wanted to share a few ways Prism, Jetty’s employee resource group for LGBTQ+ employees and allies, supported, celebrated, and highlighted our LGBTQ+ community.

Throughout the month of June, our Prism members have worked tirelessly to show support in a number of ways, from posting internal, educational messages to holding company wide, virtual events, including a lunch and learn Q&A session and trivia happy hour.

Educational posts shared internally highlighted topics ranging from the Stonewall Riots in June of 1969, underrepresented LGBTQ+ voices in literature, media, and film, mental health struggles the LGBTQ+ community continues to face, the history of the Pride flag, military policies imposed on the LGBTQ+ community, coming out in the workplace, and so much more.

During our lunch and learn Q&A session, our panel of Prism members were given the space to share their individual journeys, answer questions based on their own personal experiences, and share additional resources that others might find helpful. Our trivia happy hour gave everyone a chance to reflect on Pride Month, its history, and how we can continue making meaningful movement and change for the LGBTQ+ community.

Prism has also worked to raise money for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ advocacy organization. You can find a number of helpful tools on their resource page, including actionable ways to get involved.

A huge thank you to our Prism members, who continually help provide the space, support, and resources to make Pride Month so memorable—not only in June, but throughout the year as well.
